Derby Delight
Saturday, October 3rd—perfect football weather. The stands were full—well, could have been fuller, but we had our two most loyal supporters (Alla and Gavin) there. It was a perfect start to the match: everything was organized, positions were respected, and—naturally—we began by missing a few chances before Richy took matters into his own hands and scored a beautiful goal (the keeper is probably still trying to save it).
We kept dominating and missing chances, then a beautiful cross from Bill landed right on my head; I tried to set Nils up for the goal but ended up scoring it myself (despite all his attempts to tap it in) 😂.
We were up 2-0 at halftime with a great atmosphere, but we started the second half poorly and lacked control. We missed several great chances, and then the opposition was awarded a—let's call it—"invented" penalty, but oh well!
We fought heroically to the end and missed a few more opportunities, but that’s football—who knows, maybe next game every shot will go in!
Cheers, and let's go for the title!
