Great and large victory for the 2nds against a helpless team of Goalois, under the bright shining sun. What more could we ask for?

Climbing up towards the top 5 positions or looking down to the bottom of the table. A real 6-pointer was on the menu of Game Day 7. The conditions were promising; a blue sky, a bright shining sun, 24 degrees and a good astro pitch. It was up to us not to end the beautiful Saturday in a depressive way.

From the first minute we are present. The team is focussed and we press aggressively. Highly important since we are only 3 in the back and try to play high on the pitch. It results in a couple of dangerous moments in the box but no goal. After a good interception on the midfield Charlie receives the ball. He shoots from far distance, the keeper can only punch it away and in the rebound it is Kosta who very calmly and subtly chips the ball over the lying goalkeeper in the goal. Boom 0-1

We continue dominating the game and we press the other team back. A very good interception of Charlie results in a 2 on 1 with the goalkeeper. Charlie, aware of the fact he can make is 90th goal for the club, is not selfish and passes the ball to Kosta who can make very easily his second goal of the day. Boom 0-2.

In the second half confidence is rising and we start to play better and better. We create some chances through good football. The positioning is good and when Miguel receives the ball he gives a splendid through pass which gives Daniele THE chance to make the 3-0. He doesn’t fail. Very clinically it’s 3-0 for the Whites.

Game looks over but we want more. Not only more goals but also good football. We work on both. We outplay Goalois, we don’t give them time to breathe, the ball goes from foot to foot and yes, there is his moment; Charlie makes his 90th goal for the club (congratulations!) and the 4th of the day. Boom 0-4.

Goalois is mentally broken, spaces are getting bigger and bigger and it gives us the opportunity to work on our goal average. Miguel receives the ball after a very quick attack, keeps the overview, passes the ball to the right and I shoot the ball in the right corner. Boom 5-0. Is it enough now? Not for Daniele. He dribbles in the box and shoots the ball over the ground, very accurately in the far corner. Boom 6-0.

Completely stunned Goalois leave the pitch after the final whistle. The poor guys must have thought they played the Brazil 2002 national team today. But no, today’s samba-football in Brazilian weather conditions came from the British side. 6-0.
