The Best day of the week begun by carpooling from different place to the mythical place "Rosières”. Atmosphere was unique, each player knows that this game was not a usual one. Portuguese are all what RBBFC’s players wants to win against: they are concurrent for the final tittle, not English and also playing like b*****s. During their paths to the stadium all cars had the same conversation topic: "THE Game” and the wish of RBBFC to smash them again. Once all the teammates arrived to our "Anfield Road” (Rosieres Road), even people to the 'buvette' felt good vibes of the team and determination of the team was readable on the face of each one. It was the Best day of the week: The "RBBFC monsters” were playing against "Portuguese Bacalaos”.

As all the best Saturday, the changing room was cold but loud rap music was put to make everyone feel hotter and maybe surely more combative against our worst enemies. It was the time chose by Rich and Hodge to make their pre-game motivation and tactical speeches. The starting line-up was a good one which featured speed on the wings, experience at the back, skill and confidence up front, vision and determination in the middle, a stunning and agile keeper, and an unbelievably strong bench.

Time to warm up, weather conditions remind everyone England or maybe Scotland: the rain was cold before to become hail and finally snow. Because of it, Portuguese decided to make their warm up in their own changing room……... (typical Portuguese traditions). While RBBFC decided to fight Belgian blizzard to warm up outside on a small grass pitch; after 2 minutes of running, Steve had the good idea to make the warm up on the pavement of our mythic parking.

Kick-off was whistling by the referee and the fight begun. Despite of their changing room’s warm up, Portuguese were ready to fight and surprised us on their first occasion; they took a long shot that had a strange trajectory and surprised our big defence and or big keeper. Once the ball hit the net we heard Portuguese cries of joy coming from their stand "bem feito karai ». It was not enough to disrupt RBBFC. British started to dominate the game and put the pressure on their goal and on their Goalkeeper. Portuguese were feeling that this time was British time! Our team came back thanks to a wonderful combination: James through it away, Dani give it back to Thibault that finish with his right foot.

The next 20 minutes were ours, Portuguese had some good constructions but the ball was in our feet; it looks like FC Barcelona at some moments. Unfortunately, we were not lucky against the keeper and missed some clear occasions created by our midfielders and our strikers. Portuguese had some occasions threw corner kick but it never scared our British team! Afterwards, referee blew half-time. This 1st half had some good points as the fact that British proof their team spirit and their devotion to the team after coming back at the score level and bounce back in the game with b***s.
