After a good victory last weekend at home, the RBBFC2 boys were ready to continue on the same path. The week was full of heroism and not free of controversy after Barcelona-PSG duel with a whatsapp chat full of messages between Catalans and Parisiens.

Finally Saturday, another game, another challenge. The rival was Etincelle, on their pitch located in...(another small debate in the beginning). The place, a nice complex with a good football field, all this accompanied of a great weather to play. The conditions were the best to have a great afternoon.

Once in the changing room the guys start to get focus while Lolo played some good music as usual and everyone started the transformation, the game had already begun. Special mention for the delayed but elegant arrival of our Italian model Massi, with a class of good dress and style for all present.

Capitano was feeling good, after Barcelona’s epic triumph now everything is possible and he is a believer. The speech basically was about keep having fun on the games, develop our good football and fight until the end of the tournament, because we are still there and still alive. All this inspiration spread in the team and RBFFC was ready, time to care about business.

Diego led the warm-up with intensity and concentration; after a good pre-competitive session the whites were ready to go, the football was there and we were too. The game started and after 30 sec. Spencer twisted his ankle in a defending play, something serious and really bad that made him leave the field (recover soon Spens!). Immediately after that, our boss of the defensive line was ready and prepared in the bench to get into the pitch, with the calm and concentration required product of the years of experience (strange situation, there are rumors of people who saw a man with a black suitcase before the game, nothing related with Italian mafia though).

The good guys started to take control of the ball and possession of the field, no time to speculate. After a few minutes and following a series of good passing in the midfield, Lolo sent a spectacular through ball between lines to Nick who received on the left side, on a one to one with the goalkeeper. A great movement from Nick left the goalie in the floor and himself in an open goal. However, he took too much time and the defender arrived and disturbed him, meaning that the ball hit the post instead. However, he was lucky enough to get the rebound and, with suspense, to decree the 1-0. The best way to start, although not reflected in the mood of the team at the moment of celebrating the goal; it is important a good attitude of everyone when we score, the celebration has the same importance.

Etincelle was not going to give up and started to gain control and to push, which ended up in some dangerous situations, mainly corners and free-kicks. Thanks to the well-known sight of El Capitano that deflected 2 balls in to the posts, and a little bit of luck, the score was unchanged, but clearly RBBFC2 needed to go for more to seal the game. At thaat moment Ali was upset with everyone, claiming for better football from the team. His claims resulted efficient and 10 minutes later a good triangulation in the right side of the RBBFC attack finished with a precise pass from Friedrichs to Deschamps, who didn’t hesitate to score the second, 2-0 for the whites.

End of the first half and Capitano decided to end this quickly, the order was to push-up and continue with the control of the ball. The beginning of the second half saw Etincelle wanting to be back on the game, but with not much success. The whites were well placed defensively and were controlling the attacks, with Sylvain acting as a last man resort, keeping Puig jobless.

Half way through the second half, a too long ball got intercepted by the Etincelle goalkeeper outside of his box. The guy had a lot of trust in himself, probably a true fan of Rene Higuita and the scorpion, but unfortunately without the necessary skills to do this kind of plays. Instead of getting the danger out, he controlled the ball in his chest, the ball looped back to his back and tried to kick it out by doing the scorpion. His effort was useless and didn't touch the ball, which left Flamby in an open goal. This time, he was more effective and smashed the ball into the net, 3-0.

After this, the changes brought more energy to the team, Yugueros took the left side, Wetzel and Claudino the right and the left side of the attack respectively. Etincelle kept looking for a goal that would have cut the disadvantage, but found an inspired Capitano who shined with a couple of great interventions: on a 20 meters shot that was going close to the corner of the goal, he deflected the ball into the crossbar after a full-length dive; few minutes after, he deflected a header from the small box with his right foot.

The game was rather open and RBBFC had some good chances as well, most of them in the counter-attack, but the score remained unchanged. Final whistle was blown, a great victory for the whites who continue the search to climb to the highest spot possible in this final part of the league.

PD: the celebration was of course at the club house, enjoying beers and the nice afternoon, all this in company of a certain lady with her dog (a big one) at the table next to us. The dog, after wondering around, began to pee in a bag and a jacket of one of our guys (bad luck capitano! Or good?). The lady pretended that nothing happened, but Friedrichs was witnessing the situation. Although the lady praised with her look to Stefan of keeping the secret, that did not happen and the warning was given to the boys.

After Capitano realised and asked for explanation to the lady, she acted rudely and didn’t do anything to fix this situation with the poor argument of "c'est la premiere fois". She sat down, and continued drinking her soup while the boys kept enjoying some beers.

A touch of pee, at least not in the beer. #firsttime
