A sunny afternoon. Ideal for a good old pot of football. Even being hammered last week at home, we still believed in our abilities and hoped to snatch something out of this game. Even the opponents only lost one game so far, we were aiming for a needed win.

We started uphill, and we took the game right away in our hands. Without really creating scoring possibilities, our line-up stood firm. Was the opposition still warming up? Was it their tactics to pull the wool over our eyes? It must say that after we created the first chance, the game went totally their direction.

A good opening from Glover let Roosen run all the way on the left side. But at ten yards from goal, he was indecisive. Scoring or passing? What happens mostly in such circumstances, was executed. Something between the two choices.

As said from then on, Pharma took control of the game, especially their two forwards. On one of their moves we conceeded a corner, taken by the one and superbly finisjed with a header by the other. The following minute Wrigley saw something on the other pitch uphill, took the run, taking with him a ball received from Glover and delivered a perfect cross to the second post where Francey left the goalkeeper nailed on his line. What a move. 1-1

From then on it got worse. Their long haired winger started to horse around with our defence. Nearly every move he did, created a scoring opportunity out of which they got 3. The score went from 1 all to 1-4 in no time. We were probably not hard enough in our defending, but we must admit that they have a wonderful couple forwards, and we must give them credit. Immediately after the 1-4, Harbusch gave a neat ball through their defence where Roosen finished well, 2-4. It gave us some hope, especially as it came just before the break.

After some positive peptalk and with the knowledge the second half was downhill, we stepped back on the pitch to try to get something out of the game. Suddenly the man in black (in this case purple) realised that he was out on a football pitch as well, and started to blow everything against us. Not that the game went brutal or violent, but all very small decisions were against us.

Still, we kept our concentration but despite two big opportunities we couldn't harm their defence anymore. The first one was when a miskick from their goalkeeper saw the return coming to Francey, but the latter was so surprised that his lob went left from the first post. The second one brought Morris also in front of the goalie, but he saw his lob going over the bar.

Neil Taylor replaced Praestegaard. Being back after a 2 year footie celibacy, he was happy that he had a run without any problem for 15 minutes. Good to see him back.

Because we kept going forward gave them the possibility to counter, out of which we conceeded another goal. 2-5

Conclusion: we were not so bad as the result reflects. But we need some points. After next week's game against Nato, we get 6 games in a row of "can win"s. So let's go for it.
